How should a Christian relate to someone in their lives who is obviously living in sexual sin, without appearing to condone this marriage? Thankfully, God does not leave us without answers. As with every other issue in life, our thinking, our words, and our actions must be shaped by and in submission to the authority of Scripture. Not public opinion. Not political agendas. Not our own personal feelings, opinions, and experiences. Scripture.

What is Christian liberty? On many issues, the Bible is crystal clear with no room for debate. Those are “thus saith the Lord” kinds of things. On other issues, the Bible gives us room for differing interpretations. And sometimes the Bible is virtually silent on decisions we face in our lives, and we have to use godly wisdom and draw from biblical principles to inform our consciences and prayerfully make the most God-honoring decisions we can. Michelle and Amy explore what Scripture has to say about Christian liberty.

What do we tell our children about Santa Claus? Our special guest is Justin Peters, an expository teacher, author, minister, and husband to wife, Kathy. Justin's book and video, "Santa Pause" reveals a dark and even demonic history through the ages of this carnal Christian character, and in our present time he is celebrated as a kindly and omnipresent/omniscient old man who generously gives gifts - if you are morally good, that is. Justin shares his thoughts on the effects of lying to our children, and where Christian liberty may or may not play a part in our Christmas traditions.

Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in preparedness that it can become an idol. We have a God whose plans, whose providence, whose will is not going to be thwarted.

Do you have a theology that includes thanksgiving all year long? Even in the worst circumstances or the direst of situations?
God wants His people to be thankful to Him, not just because He deserves our thanks, but because it is good for us to be thankful. It helps us fix our eyes on all He has done for us - from the greatest gift of all, giving His precious Son to save us from our sins.

If you aren’t familiar with the term “complementarianism,” it simply means “the biblical roles of men and women in the home and in the church.” It's also a term that has been twisted into something else. Complementarians like Michelle and Amy believe men and women are both made in the image of God, and equal in value to Him. However, we have some wonderful, ingenious differences in the way God wired and equipped us. We also have different roles in the home - the husband is responsible for leading, and the wife is responsible for being his helper and submitting to his leadership. In the church, it is the responsibility of biblically qualified men to serve as pastors, elders, and deacons, to preach and teach the Scriptures to men and any co-ed adult groups, and to fulfill positions of authority over men and co-ed adult groups.
